It's odd how child's play can be so predictive of one's adult life.

At the age of 11 my brother was already an expert on military strategy. He out-played the adult relatives at chess and Battleship; he could explain all the major campaigns of the Civil War, in detail. He was a brilliant kid whose intellect made him a misfit among his classmates. In those days there were no “talented and gifted” programs. So, utterly bored and unchallenged at school, my brother poured his mental energy into all sorts of challenges that he devised for himself. One of them was the Living Room Wars....The rest of the story coming soon.
